Fun Items to Liven up Your Next Festival

Jul 18, 2023

Festivals are a great way to spend time with your friends, listening to fantastic music and enjoying the great outdoors. As a general rule, festivals are designed to be fun and enjoyable, but that doesn’t mean you can’t add to the fun by taking along some additional items. Once you’ve done all of your essential packing, these things can be added to your bag at the last minute. We take a look at several fun items to liven up your next festival experience.

Portable speaker

There may be times when you’re sitting around your campsite getting ready for the day or having a break and something to eat. These moments can be made more enjoyable by playing your favourite music through a portable speaker. In addition, you can get pumped for the bands you’re about to see that day by listening to their latest tracks. Finally, a portable speaker is great for convincing your friends to go and see a band you love that they might not have heard of before. You can play their best songs to show them what they’d be missing if they chose to stay at the campsite.

Tent lights and decorations

Campsites can be boring and uninspiring; generally, there tend to be lots of blue or green tents and some camping chairs dotted around. To make your camp more fun and exciting, take along some tent decorations. Items such as banners, lights and colourful balloons can brighten up your camp, making it a much better place to sit and enjoy the festival experience. Solar lights are also really useful when you’re trying to locate your camp at night in the dark; plus, they will allow you to sit up late into the night and continue partying.

Biodegradable glitter

Glitter is a fun way to add sparkle and shine to your tent, your face and your outfits. The best type of glitter is biodegradable and environmentally friendly, so you don’t have to worry about leaving any behind and the damage it may cause to the environment. You can buy biodegradable glitter for a very small price; simply pop a pot or bag into your pocket for lots of fun and laughter when you get to your festival location.

Carnival whistles

Make some noise and join in with the party spirit with a carnival whistle; they can turn any dull walk from camp to the stage into a party line. Get one for all of your friends, and people will know when you’re on the move. They can also be helpful if you get lost and need to find your campsite or friends. A quick blow on the whistle will alert your friends to your whereabouts. In addition, if you find yourself stuck and in need of help, you can use the whistle to grab the attention of people passing by.

Glow sticks

Turn your festival into a rave with glow sticks; these are perfect for nighttime as they lighten up and help to keep the party going. In addition, you can attach them to things like your bag in your tent so you can easily find them during the night without needing to put on a light. You can wear glow sticks around your wrists, ankles, and hair to brighten up and add fun to your festival outfit.

Card games

There might be times when you decide to have a chilled few hours at your campsite during the festival experience or times when you’re waiting for the bands to start but need something fun to do. Card games are a great way to pass the time and get chatting with your friends. You can even turn them into drinking games if you want to enjoy a few drinks before heading into the main festival arena.

By adding a few of these items to your festival bag, you will enhance your experience, making it more fun, enjoyable and lively. A portable speaker is our number one item that every group should have when camping at a festival. Playing music will put you in the perfect mood to enjoy the rest of the day and evening of live entertainment and merriment.
